Designed as an alternative to conventional fixed orthodontic appliances, this family of removable appliances is worn by both adults and children during both day and night.
The Standard Acrylic-Based DNA Appliance™ is designed to correct midfacial/maxillary underdevelopment in both adults and children. Providing posterior occlusal coverage, it typically features six patent-pending anterior 3D Axial Springs™, ball-end clasps, a labial bow/lip bumper and a midline jackscrew.
Preferentially worn during the evenings (but not during eating) and at night, it delivers optimal benefits over a 12-16 hr cycle of the human growth hormone circadian rhythm. A similar design is utilized for the Lower version, except that occlusal coverage is not usually needed.
The two-piece, multi-functional mRNA Appliance is ideal for moderate to severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA).
Addressing dental tissues, hard tissues, soft tissues and functional spaces with a unique Pneumopedic™ approach, the mRNA provides six degrees of freedom for airway development; A-P, T-V and vertical mandibular repositioning; and airway support during active development.
IMPORTANT: When taking construction bite, edge-to-edge 5mm opening between upper and lower incisions is required.
