Crozats can be used for treating the young patient in mixed dentition. Shown here, the Crozat Clasps are attached to the primary second molars, with extensions to the erupting six-year molars.The extensions are used to develop the arches by moving the permanent molars buccally. Note: In order to effectively employ these appliances in this situation, the primary second molars must have substantial root structure.
